CG Bugs students recreate a powerful scene from the Chhaava movie in stunning 3D animation—an inspiring tribute to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, blending creativity, culture, and digital storytelling.
On the proud occasion of Shiv Jayanti, students at CG Bugs School of 3D Animation, Games & VFX showcased their talent through a very special project. Our students regularly explore different themes and genres—from fantasy to realism, history to futuristic design. Among the many projects in progress, this one was particularly close to the heart.
Inspired by the impactful Chaava movie trailer, Shweta Kute and Prashant Dhamak chose to recreate a powerful moment from the film that captures the strength and spirit of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Their work brings the historical scene to life in a deeply emotional and respectful way using modern 3D animation techniques.
From sculpting detailed facial expressions to designing accurate costumes and royal environments, every frame was built with care. The team used professional tools like Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter to handle character modeling, texturing, lighting, and scene layout – giving the animation a cinematic quality.
This project shows the difference between simply animating and animating with true emotion and purpose
This meaningful 3D tribute was crafted with dedication by Shweta Kute and Prashant Dhamak, two driven students from CG Bugs. The project took shape under the expert guidance of Vishal Kadlag Sir, Rahul Bhalerao Sir, and Agnelo Fernandes Sir, who mentored the students with valuable insights, creative suggestions, and constant encouragement throughout the process.
In just four days (17th–20th February 2025), the students transformed their vision into reality, completing the project in time for Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti turning their respect for history into a stunning digital artwork.
At CG Bugs, whether it’s a tribute, a fantasy world, or a game concept—our students learn to transform imagination into reality, frame by frame.
