The creators of Disney Channel’s animated series “Big City Greens” present an original music-filled comedy-adventure movie titled “Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation.” It is scheduled to premiere on June 6 at 8 pm EDT on Disney Channel and on June 7 on Disney+.
The voice cast includes Chris Houghton as Cricket Green, Marieve Herington as Tilly Green, Bob Joles as Bill Green, Artemis Pebdani as Gramma Alice, Wendi McLendon-Covey as Nancy Green, Zeno Robinson as Remy, and Anna Akana as Gloria. Guest voices include Renée Elise Goldsberry as Colleen Voyd, Cheri Oteri as Gwendolyn Zapp, Astronaut Scott Kelly as himself, Joe Lo Truglio as the BigTech Scientist, Jack McBrayer as Farmbot, and Raven-Symoné as Maria Media.
The official synopsis reveals that “Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation” follows the Green family on an adventurous vacation to outer space. Chaos ensues when thrill-seeker Cricket convinces his family to take a “road trip” in space. Despite tensions between Cricket and his dad, Bill, they must learn to appreciate each other’s perspectives to prevent Big City from being destroyed by an interstellar disaster.
Produced by Disney Television Animation and created by Chris and Shane Houghton, “Big City Greens the Movie: Spacecation” is executive produced by the Houghton brothers, with Michael Coughlin as producer.
